Relay For Life is a community-based fundraising event for the American Cancer Society and many other cancer related institutions, societies and associations. In 2019, James Madison University took second place in the collegiate nation and first place per capita for the most Facebook fundraising. From rebranding the organization (logo, font, colors, etc.) to designing all social assets that were published on Instagram and Facebook, I was proud to be part of this initiative for my university.

This short motion graphic video includes illustrations and photographs to explain and represent what Relay for Life is all about and the impact of the donations received from its fund-raising efforts. The video is not only informative, but also a marketable way to encourage people to donate and register for Relay. This Relay is specifically geared towards James Madison University’s program, however, the statistics are from The American Cancer Society (The ACS), and are a result of all the support The ACS receives from fundraising efforts such as these. Relay for Life is one of the largest fundraising events that The ACS has and is super special since it is James Madison University’s number one fundraising event on campus!
